American Gloria Walker and her family arrive in Cairo to visit its attractions

Ahmed Youssef, CEO of the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Promotion, received the American Mrs. Gloria Walker and her family, this morning, Saturday, at Cairo International Airport, who came from the state of Philadelphia in the United States of America to fulfill her lifelong dream, which is to visit Egypt and watch the Giza pyramids, accompanied by her family.

Over the past few years, Gloria Walker has been the focus of attention of the world, as many global and regional media have reported her story widely, when her son Dustin Vitaly disclosed on his personal Facebook page on the desire of his cancer-afflicted mother to visit Egypt and watch the pyramids of Giza, especially The pyramid of Khufu, the only remaining wonder of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, describing this visit as her only wish and the dream of her life.

Mr. Ahmed Youssef, CEO of the Authority, welcomed the American lady and her family, conveying to her the greetings of Dr. Khaled Al-Anani, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, and the Minister’s keenness to meet her during her visit to Egypt, and his sincere wishes for her to spend an enjoyable trip in Egypt and enjoy its picturesque beaches, warm sun and healthy atmosphere, and visit its tourist and archaeological sites. Al-Farida, wishing her complete health and a full recovery.

Professor Ahmed Youssef pointed out that this visit carries a human dimension, and also reflects a form of fondness for the ancient Egyptian civilization, and the special charm that Egypt bears in the hearts of many who wish to visit it and even repeat the visit to it, which made it among their favorite tourist destinations around the world.The Authority’s CEO stressed the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities’s keenness to provide all aspects of logistical and moral support and facilities to the American woman and her family in the tourist and archaeological sites and museums that they will visit in Egypt to make this trip enjoyable.

Gloria Walker and her family’s trip to Egypt will take a week, including a visit to the most important tourist and archaeological sites in the governorates of Cairo and South Sinai.

For his part, Dustin expressed his gratitude for the interest of the Egyptian state and the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities’s keenness to receive them and present them with souvenirs, stressing that he visited Egypt in 2018 and did not forget the friendliness, hospitality and generosity of its people, in addition to the special attraction that Egypt enjoys.
